Quality policy
Obtain satisfactory zootechnical results, healthy birds and excellent sanitary quality with a focus on the customer, following strict quality standards and meeting the regulatory requirements in force in the domestic and foreign markets. Therefore, São Salvador Alimentos invests in the training of its employees, in innovations and in the continuous improvement of its processes.
Grain warehouse
For grain storage, we have three warehouses, integrated into the production process. This enables agility in processes and decisions and speed in the transport of inputs. The capacity of our own storage centers is currently 110 thousand tons, which is enough to supply up to four months of feed production. This allows us to mitigate the impact arising from price volatility to which players with lower storage capacity are exposed.
Feed Factory
We have broiler feed factories in our two production units, which facilitates and reduces the cost of transport to our integrated partners. We produce up to 130 tons of feed per hour at the Itaberaí Unit and 30 tons per hour at Nova Veneza. Feed factories are continuously improved, with investments in technology and process improvement. We also work with the production of a leased unit in the state of Paraná, with a production capacity of 11 tons per hour of animal feed.
In October 2021, we opened a new animal feed factory in Itaberaí. With an investment of R$ 87 million, the plant is fully automated and follows the premises and concepts of Industry 4.0. The production capacity is 60 tons of feed per hour.

Rearing Unit
It comprises the period between 1 to 22 weeks of the breeder’s life and aims to ensure a growth progression according to the adopted lineage pattern, meeting the criteria of expected weight uniformity of the lot. In this period it is important to prepare the birds for sexual maturity. The breeding unit is located in the Calcilândia District of the City of Goiás/GO.
Fertile egg production unit
The egg production phase will occur in the laying matrix, after adaptation of these birds. In this unit, females and males are housed in the same shed and, thus, mating will occur and, consequently, the production of fertile eggs. The production of these eggs will occur in the period of 24 weeks until approximately 68 weeks of age of these birds. This unit is installed in the municipality of São Francisco de Goiás/GO.

Hatchery
Regarding the hatchery, we have facilities that allow us to incubate 11.4 million eggs per month, serving our two slaughtering and industrialization units. Our hatchery has air-conditioned rooms and modern individual air pressure and relative humidity control. This incubation capacity has been increased by 4 million eggs per month, through a partnership located in Brasília, which has modern equipment and an integrated biosecurity system. One of our collaborators works within the partner’s premises, in order to assist in the maintenance of actions and in the replication of our good practices. In the same way as in matrix companies, training and checklists are applied periodically.
Integration
In 2021, construction began on new aviaries for the Modal V Project, in line with SSA’s growth plan, which will allow the Nova Veneza plant to move forward in the coming years with the slaughter evolution proposed for the unit.
This initiative is part of the partnerships we maintain. We work in partnership with 208 producers, who own 803 aviaries, located within an average radius of 38 kilometers from our units. This proximity provides important gains in scale and reduction of logistics costs. Our integrated partners build the aviaries according to our technical specifications and are remunerated according to the level of productivity and the zootechnical indexes of the lots supplied.
Integration

Processing
We have two production units, located in the state of Goiás, which have modern equipment, a high level of automation and operate vertically, totaling a daily slaughtering capacity of approximately 520,000 birds.
With each unit acting in all stages of our production chain, we guarantee operational independence, cost reduction and total quality control of our processes and products.
